Understanding and Treating chronic pain

One out of five people suffer from persisting pain. These statistics are alarmingly high. Unrelieved pain costs the Australian economy $34 billion annually in lost productivity.

Unfortunately, the most people have a limited understanding of what chronic pain is and what to do. People suffering from chronic pain have told me that they have ‘tried everything’ from pain killers, surgery, physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment, massages, acupuncture and the pain still persists. Worse as time passes. For weeks, then months and suffering for years.

The Hunter Medical Local has posted a series of videos with an entertaining approaching in educating people on chronic pain management and treatment. The videos show evidenced based information and is a great introduction for viewers to learn more about chronic pain and the most effective treatments available.
